This smoke detector is battery powered. It is
designed to sense smoke that comes into it sensing chamber. It does
not sense gas, heat or flame.
This smoke detector is designed to give early
warning of developing fires at a reasonable cost. It monitors the
air and when it senses smoke, it will trigger a beeping arm und in
its built-in arm. It will provide precious time for you and your
family to escape before the fire spread. Such early is only
possible, however, if the detector is located, installed and
maintained as describe in the
user manual.
